This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of emailfinder.dev services. By using our services, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violation of this policy may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund. This AUP supplements and is incorporated into our Terms of Service.
This Acceptable Use Policy sets forth the rules and guidelines for using emailfinder.dev services. Our goal is to ensure that all users can access our services in a safe, secure, and reliable manner while protecting the rights of third parties and complying with applicable laws.
emailfinder.dev reserves the right to update this AUP at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
You may not use emailfinder.dev services for any of the following purposes:
2.1. Illegal Activities — Any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations; Fraud, identity theft, or impersonation; Money laundering or terrorist financing; Distribution of illegal content (child exploitation, terrorism, etc.); Violation of intellectual property rights; Stalking, harassment, or threats.
2.2. Spam and Unsolicited Communications — Sending unsolicited bulk emails (spam); Cold outreach without proper consent or opt-out mechanisms; Automated messaging or robocalls; Phishing or social engineering attacks; Distribution of malware, viruses, or malicious code.
2.3. Data Misuse — Scraping or harvesting data for resale or redistribution; Creating competing services using our data; Sharing API keys or account credentials with third parties; Circumventing rate limits or access controls; Reverse engineering or decompiling our services; Using data in violation of GDPR, CCPA, or other privacy laws.
2.4. Service Abuse — Excessive API requests designed to overload our systems; Denial of service (DoS) or distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks; Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems; Exploiting security vulnerabilities without responsible disclosure; Using automated tools to create fake accounts; Manipulating or falsifying usage metrics.
2.5. Privacy Violations — Collecting or processing personal data without lawful basis; Failing to provide required privacy notices to data subjects; Ignoring data subject rights requests (access, deletion, etc.); Transferring personal data to countries without adequate protection; Using data for purposes incompatible with original collection; Collecting email addresses of minors.
2.6. Harmful Content — Hate speech, discrimination, or incitement to violence; Defamatory, libelous, or slanderous content; Content that violates third-party rights (privacy, publicity, etc.); Misleading or deceptive practices.
emailfinder.dev services are designed for legitimate business purposes, including: Sales Prospecting — Identifying and enriching potential customer contact data for B2B sales; Recruiting — Finding and contacting qualified candidates for job opportunities; Business Development — Discovering key contacts at target companies for partnership inquiries; Lead Enrichment — Enhancing existing CRM or database records with verified professional email addresses; CRM Integration — Programmatically enriching contact records within your sales and marketing tools.
All acceptable uses must comply with applicable data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and respect the rights of data subjects.
When using emailfinder.dev services, you must: Have a lawful basis for processing personal data (consent, legitimate interest, contract, etc.); Provide clear privacy notices to data subjects explaining how their data will be used; Implement appropriate security measures to protect personal data; Honor data subject rights requests (access, deletion, portability, etc.) within legal timeframes; Maintain records of processing activities as required by GDPR Article 30; Report data breaches to supervisory authorities and affected individuals as required by law; Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for high-risk processing; Appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO) if required by law.

To ensure fair access for all users, emailfinder.dev enforces a rate limit of 1,000 requests per minute per user account. This limit applies across all API keys associated with that account.
You may not: Attempt to circumvent rate limits using multiple accounts or API keys; Use automated tools to make excessive requests; Share API keys to distribute requests across multiple users.
Violations may result in temporary or permanent suspension of your account. If your business requires higher rate limits, please contact us at support@emailfinder.dev to discuss custom arrangements.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account: Keep your password and API keys confidential; Do not share your account credentials with third parties; Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access; Use strong, unique passwords; Regularly rotate API keys (recommended every 90 days).
You are liable for all activities that occur under your account, whether authorized or not.
emailfinder.dev reserves the right to: Monitor usage patterns to detect violations of this AUP; Investigate suspected violations; Suspend or terminate accounts that violate this AUP; Report illegal activities to law enforcement; Cooperate with legal investigations; Preserve evidence of violations.
We do not actively monitor the content of API requests or responses, but we may investigate if we receive complaints or detect suspicious activity.
Violations of this AUP may result in: Warning — First-time minor violations may receive a warning; Temporary Suspension — Account access suspended for 7–30 days; Permanent Termination — Account permanently closed without refund; Legal Action — Civil or criminal proceedings for serious violations; Reporting — Notification to law enforcement or regulatory authorities.
emailfinder.dev has sole discretion to determine appropriate consequences based on the severity and frequency of violations.
No Refunds: Accounts terminated for AUP violations are not eligible for refunds of unused credits.
If you become aware of any violations of this AUP, please report them to: Email: support@emailfinder.dev. Please include: Description of the violation; Evidence (screenshots, logs, emails, etc.); Date and time of the incident; Your contact information.
We will investigate all reports and take appropriate action. We may contact you for additional information.
If you discover a security vulnerability in our services, please report it responsibly: Email support@emailfinder.dev with details; Do not publicly disclose the vulnerability until we have addressed it; Do not exploit the vulnerability for malicious purposes; Allow us reasonable time to fix the issue (typically 90 days).
We appreciate responsible disclosure and will credit researchers in our security acknowledgments (if desired).
emailfinder.dev reserves the right to update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. We will notify you of material changes via: Email notification (at least 30 days before changes take effect); Notice on our website.
Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
This Acceptable Use Policy is incorporated into and subject to the Terms of Service. Any claims arising from or related to violations of this AUP shall be subject to the liability limitations set forth in the Terms of Service, including but not limited to the liability cap and exclusion of indirect, consequential, and punitive damages.
emailfinder.dev shall not be liable for any damages arising from suspension or termination of accounts for AUP violations, including loss of data, loss of business, or loss of profits.
For the avoidance of doubt, the liability limitations in the Terms of Service apply to all claims, whether arising under contract, tort, or otherwise, including claims related to account suspension, termination, or enforcement of this AUP.
